The Music Quintet

The Music Quintet is a creative music ensemble out of the Oberlin Conservatory and under the mentorship of bassist, Gerald Cannon. The group explores their sound through original compositions and draws influence from the music of Ornette Coleman, Charles Mingus, and Don Cherry amongst others. The Music Quintet released their first album, “Plays Music”, in the summer of 2022.
