Alanna J Brown is a vocalist/guitarist originally from Toronto. She received her honours degree in Jazz Music before heading out west to sing in Banff National Park’s finest hotels, lounges and bars including up to 5 nights a week at the magical Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. In January 2023, with her growing family Alanna moved to Ottawa and is excited about joining the Nation’s Capitol music scene. You’ll hear her angelic voice soar through jazz standards but watch out – she’s got a special thing for 70’s folk that will have you singing along to your favourite Joni, Neil Young and Fleetwood tunes. Her ethereal voice is packed with layers of sensitivity and emotion. Alanna’s distinctive chord progressions are both harmonically and rhythmically complex as she melds folk with jazz. Her performances reflect 30+ years of musical study.
