Brian An Quintet: The Music of J.J. Johnson

Brian An (pronounced “on”), a trombonist on the Ottawa scene, will be celebrating the music of J.J. Johnson, the face of jazz trombone who would have turned 100 in 2024. Joining him will be special Toronto guest Paul Tarussov on trombone, as well as local mainstays Mark Ferguson on piano and trombone, Mike Essoudry on drums, and Keith Walton on bass. Come by for a night of swinging jazz, dueling trombones, and even a few tunes for three trombones.
