Mélanie Cloutier Trio

Mélanie Cloutier est une artiste vocale polyvalente.
Cette interprète séduit les gens avec sa voix texturée, puissante et son interprétation des
standards de jazz. Passionnée à la fois de blues, de soul, de jazz, de musique latine , de
jazz manouche et de gospel : son répertoire est varié. Son amour pour l’interprétation
scénique est influencé par ses études en théâtre dans le baccalauréat spécialisé approfondi
en théâtre . Mélanie est aussi enseignante d’art dramatique.
Née à Québec, elle grandit à Gatineau. Mélanie monte sur scène pour la première fois à
l’âge de 12 ans. Plus tard, elle fait partie d’une troupe de théâtre musicale Top Passion, à
l’âge de 25. Chanteuse autrefois dans le groupe Django Libre, elle s’aventure dans des
styles vivants et rythmés du jazz manouche.
Dans l’ensemble de son répertoire, vous pouvez l’entendre en trio, accompagné par le
pianiste Yves Laroche et du contrebassiste Normand Glaude, les standards des artistes
intemporels suivants : Tom Waits, Leonard Cohen, Peggy Lee, Pink Martini et plusieurs
autres artistes à découvrir.

Mélanie Cloutier is a versatile vocal artist. This performer captivates audiences with her
textured, powerful voice and her interpretation of jazz standards. Passionate about
blues, soul, jazz, Latin music, gypsy jazz and gospel, her repertoire is wide-ranging. Her
love of stage performance is influenced by her bachelor degree in theater. Mélanie is
also a drama teacher.
Born in Quebec City, she grew up in Gatineau. Mélanie took to the stage for the first time
at the age of 12. Later, at the age of 25, she joined the Top Passion musical theater
troupe. As a former singer with the group Django Libre, she now ventures into the lively,
rhythmic styles of gypsy jazz.
Throughout her repertoire, you can hear her in trio, accompanied by pianist Yves
Laroche and double bassist Normand Glaude, performing standards by such timeless
artists as Tom Waits, Leonard Cohen, Peggy Lee, Pink Martini and many others.
